Just my friend on his 4 wheeler. I've never been out with other trucks.
Although it would work great to pull someone else out if you don't have room for a recovery rope recovery. If I could, I'd rather just hook hitches and pull, but the winch is great for everything else.

I use the ARB 30ft, 33,000lb ****** strap with an 8" D-Ring and a CAST 2" ball hitch. The strap is only about $160 and it's AWESOME! 30% stretch so it stretches to 40ft. max. I use one of the soft loops on the CAST hitch on my truck, and the 8" D-ring on the stuck truck. This combo has a number of recoveries under it's belt.
The solid CAST hitch is important. I've seen tubular hitches shear off and sail 70ft and cause a ton of damage on the stuck truck.

Well tow hook receiver would be easier for attaching a tow strap, but also a lot easier for the stamp to fall off. The D-ring has different ways you can attach the strap with a hook, knot, or strap through the d ring
