severe rod knock..what are my options?
so i noticed a slight knocking a few months ago, and my brother determined it was a rod knock in cylinder 7. however, the knock is now obnoxiously loud, and i've stopped driving the truck altogether.
i've decided to just cut my losses and see if i can get it sold to someone with the resources to do an relatively easy swap. how much could i expect for a clean, well maintained '99 XL 5-speed manual ext. cab? AC, heat, 4x4, everything works. with a new engine and clutch, this truck could be very nice. less than a hundred miles shy of 200,000. light surface undercarriage rust to be expected of an east coast truck, but none on the body and no rot at all. includes muds and practically new tires on separate wheels, and a cap.

is this something that might be able to sell, and if so, for how much? just trying to get an idea of what my truck might be worth at this point, and how much i could get out of it. thanks in advance.
