Default Stalling at Idle -- Need Help!

Hey guys I have a 2002 ford f150 with 112,xxx miles. It runs great when I am cruising around but as soon as I idle at a stop sign/light etc. the truck wants to stall. The "service engine soon light" just came on and i ran the codes and they came up as 0171 and 0174. These codes translate into the engine running too lean. I changed the fuel filter but that did absolutely nothing. Does anyone else have any other ideas?

possibly bad oxygen sensor. They re supposed to be replaced at 60k.

Could also be a clogged EGR system component. (EGR line, EGR Valve, DPFE lines, or the ports that flow into the throttle body elbow after the EGR valve.)

Bad fuel filter could also be the cause.

Hope the info helps ya pal

Check for a bad or cracked elbow at the PCV valve. A good can of carb cleaner will help you find the leak. You may have a leaking intake also. Those are somewhat common problems with these engines.
