Tbar crank

So I was inder my truck which is 2wd and it looks like its got the same thing that youd crank on the 4wd to do the lift which I thought was just a 4wd thing

This was what Im talking about

That's the transmission crossmember, if it was 4x4 there'd be 2 bars going from a crossmember further forward going to the front axle.
