JP, are you just trying to get "peak" voltage readings?

I can test my Klein CL800 for you, but it does have a MIN/MAX setting - which I assume will read the MAX volts.

Crap! Caught a stinkin cold again...at least I hope it's just a cold. Scratchy throat and a cough...no fever though. A little bit of a headache, but I think that's from coughing. Guess I can't say I don't catch these things anymore...that's twice in the last 3 months.

My oldest grandson began going back to school this year vs home schooling. He had it before I did. Didn't think nothing of it, it wasn't covid for him. Feeling indestructible in that sense is over for me apparently....damn!

Are you over the bug yet white ?

I hope you get better soon!

local pizza shop just did something almost unheard of, bought lunch today, was going to pay cash and they give a 10% disc for cash. Well crap i was 2 dollars short, they said don't worry about it and we get it next time. i know its only 2 dollars but its the principal of the thing, i don't feel right because i didn't pay what the amount actually was

Glad you're on the mend, that can't be fun. Caught pneumonia once about 20 or 30 years ago, never forget that. Was a lot younger, tried to work through it and couldn't do it. Totally took everything out of me. That must be something like covid I imagine.

Hope you get your strength back soon.

That's exactly what I'm trying to find. I was testing for current using a timing light and getting steady flashes on the trigger wire but nothing on the plug wire side of the coil. I've already replaced the two coils with two that were firing on other cylinders but the problem didn't follow the coils.

Seems to be an odd problem to have so input voltage is my next test. After that I suppose I have to go to the power pack. I it's bad ill probably just sell this engine and start over with a newer yamaha. The parts for these early models are getting hard to come by.

I love it when someone pays no mind to what you're telling them.
