Almost changed the trans fluid on the Eff Won Fiddy too. Then remembered I am going to be building a valve body for it very soon... so I'll wait until then.
What happened to the body, I thought it was clean. Well okay, I might noticed you mention something about the core/radiator support getting bad before. Vaguely though.

I guess I should make sure the 4WD works in the 1 ton. Haven't tested that yet, still don't have it totally restored to original. Didn't have the time with the set back. She'll be at full strength sometime next year.

Hope you have the winter stuff done.... it's most definitely arrived...here anyway.

BTW- The 150 showed back up last weekend...strong as ever ....mechanically anyway. Doesn't need any prep for winter....it's never asked for much.

I need a new bed for my truck. Told the Wife tonight that I'm going to start looking for a better bed for it.... and probably repaint the truck.

My back has been off and on hurting me all day today. Laid down to go to sleep, and it started throbbing. Kinda thinking it might be my kidney though. It's a real doozey.

Maybe too much Dr. Pepper.... ugh.

im going to what should be an interesting presentation today. There is an old abandoned hotel in downtown maysville called the White Manor hotel, it closed in the 60s. it sit empty and untouched for about 30 years until McRoberts furniture across the street bought it to warehouse furniture in. about 10 years later in 2007/2008, an investment company out of Georgia was going to purchase the property and restore it to its original condition, along with a 2,040-acre hunting preserve with lodge and cabins along Clarks Run Road, and a 76-acre marina and RV park on the Ohio River. it was going to be a $500 million project. that never ****ing happened. But it had maysville residents talking up a storm. i think the recession had something to do with it and the project was just abandoned.
Wyldwood plans continue on schedule | Ledger Independent – Maysville Online (maysville-online.com)

Fast forward to now, the building has officially been sold and redevelopment is in the works. i have no details as of now, thats what this presentation is for.
in the 30 years that mcroberts furniture has owned it, very few people have been in there. mainly just McRoberts employees, and a few historians from time to time. Me and a guy that takes care of McRoberts landscaping and mowing went in there in November of 2021 to clean up plaster that had fallen off walls and ceilings. the hotel has 3 floors, oddly enough the top floor is in much better shape than the bottom floor, or the second floor. but i took many pictures, and im going to share them today

That corn syrup does nasty stuff to yuh. Pop and it's chem's also shrinks your brain.

As long as you don't over do it, drink water as well, it prob won't effect you.

Dr. Pepper is my favorite, followed by "real sugar" Pepsi. I was in the "one a day" club for a very long time, but have been trying to cut back. Arnold Palmer has become my new friend a few days a week (with the lemonade made with 1/3 stevia to cut back on the sugar), and I really don't miss the higher-sugar / higher-caffeine / fizzy-bubbly stuff. I'm more of a 3-4 days a week on it, now. (Still need one with pizza, though.)

I read once that by only cutting out one 12-ounce soda a day and replacing it with water, you can lose 15 pounds in a year. This is about kids, but the same is true for us olde... those of us who've had more birthdays.

What shocks me is the orange juice figures. I love me a glass of OJ in the morning!

RC COLA !!! ...Has been sold and taken out of production, but now and then a distributor manages to get a store to buy a pallet full. New/other stuff, roo carbonated, too sweet. Was a Coker - now more of a Pepsian. But Coke does pair better w JD and a few things. Tonic Water sometimes, even without the gin... Really a "end of a v hot day, relaxer." ALL of these, however, SO Sweet, are v much improved by 10 minutes melting ice cubes or a splash of water and ice. It's the sweetness that intentionally makes them non-theist quenching... And why beer often is the quencher, thanks to the bittering hops.

Putting a lil fridge in the truck, a small HEPA, and a tiny dehumidifier since the rear window leaks a tad. Trying to figure the right butyl tape to slip in there. In the meantime, a better tape than red 30-day painters' tape, which is really stellar stuff, but, v red.

Yeah, can suicide-out via excess water... But for those hot extremes and water, Pedialyte. Not the flavored stuff, but the plain, and just add an ounce or shot to a pint or qt. The plain has FAR more electrolytes than the flavored. I have not asked the mfr, why. You prolly know, it's electrolyte dilution that kills during water-binging.

A lil salt on a tomato or such helps too. Some athletes take a salt tablet after a grueling game. I read just a few hrs ago, a tsp less salt/day about equals some medicine... I thought it was... BP meds...

We are as dang complicated as a new truck.
