Today, I replaced my alternator and early this week, I swapped the passenger side fender, front door, and rear pocket door with panels I found at a junk yard which were in better shape. May be getting the truck from the bedsides forward repainted/buffed and clear coated sometime in the near-ish future.

I good piece of fishing line on a warm day and you can cut it right off.

I'd just take them off. It'd be a lot of work to get them both off and one set back on without making it look worse than before.
