Will be getting exhaust added from the muffler back to the reared. And not sure this will make it quieter in the cab. As it is not the excess noise and drown is killing me on the Hwy.
Here's a short video and its not giving you a true sound of how loud it is in the cab.
25 years ago, I would have loved the sound. But the older I get the better I like quite. Like yesterday when after 5 hours the kids and grand kids left. Peace and Quite priceless.

That's like a double bummer. If your running cat-less and haven't been custom tuned for such, it's not only obnoxious, - it's well down on power, -specially the low end. It almost disappears lol.

To get all that is missing back, just throw in a couple high flows (cats). They are not too terribly expensive and you won't believe the difference in low end...night and day.

97's exited in front of the rear wheels. Bad idea, people complained about it..lot's of people. So, for the 98's and all models for the 10th gen s to 04, all Ford truck lines exhausts exited behind the rear wheel. Basically, in front of the rear wheel was only a 97 thing.

Yep I'm with Jbrew here. Two high flows and some extra pipe exiting out the back and you will be much happier. Are the 02s still down there?

It has all kind of power as it is. If I'm not careful, it will light the tires up from a standstill. But let me say up front. Been driving a 14,000 lb Over size Pickup the last 2+ years. it has a 5.9 cummins in it. Even thought its no Slouch its self. Its still 14,000 lbs. So the truck may well be low on power and I just don't know it..
But with the exhaust tips turned toward the ground from the back of the Muffler. Its rough!! Will check into high flow cats. Any one have an ideal on the best ones to throw on it? There's no lights showing up now? Also run a scan and it does not show any codes?

No lights or codes and you have power? Then your tuned to run that way, specially if it will turn the tires over easy.

Yea, some one had it tuned to run without cats in the past.

Guess they did tune it. Have not found any kind of extra box on it? But it does smoke the tires..

Found a wheel and tire today, so now if I have a flat. I can get it back going. Steel wheel and looks like a new tire, still has the sticker on it. Cost $35.00 did not look at the build code on the tire. So it may well be an old one. Will check that before I put it under the truck.
It came off a 2002, hope it fits my 1999? Some say it will some say it will not fit. But being I have the FX4 wheels on it now. Thinking they will fit. Now to get a jack kit and handle that goes under the hood. Don't know why people take those out of a truck.

Do yourself a favor and get a cheap floor-jack in a case. I keep my Craftsman in my truck at all times. I used the factory one once and said never again.

Adding pics of my new Lightning-style headlights and CREE LED bulbs (which I've since removed because without a projector lens, the scattering is way too bad).

Lights off, lookin' sweet!

If only the scattering wasn't so bad!
