I know that they don't like tint being below that mark here in Oregon, no idea about other states - i understand that mark is vehicle/glass specific so maybe it's generic glass that doesn't have it in the original place?
Anyway, i find that the AS1 mark is perfect for me in the truck.
The Chiefs were playing so poorly I opted to go for a drive specifically to get this picture.
I have gotten the same picture in my 95 and had it from the Mustang.
After this, I went to gas up and thought I was going to be in a tornado- the craziest wind I’ve ever seen came out of nowhere and tornado sirens were going off. I found out later there was a pretty nasty funnel cloud about 8 miles from where I was. Midwest weather is fun 😂🙄
We did a thing and my truck now has a new garage buddy!
Goodbye to our 2013 Explorer, our first major purchase as a married couple, and hello to living on the Edge! 2019 SEL, this thing is loaded and it’s awesome! 28mpg the first tank, so maybe we’ll start driving it on trips instead of the truck.
I do full synthetic and every 7-8k miles. 5 quarts of Pennzoil Ultra Platinum was $23 from Amazon but I ordered 3 jugs and 3 oil filters for all of my vehicles (obviously8 quarts for mine). It came to right at $48 to change my oil and filter in my driveway. Fill washer fluid, check battery terminals, coolant and brake fluid and adjust tire pressure (rotate every other oil change). Plus this way I know it's done right!
That's a terrible price, but a lot is going to depend on whether you can/will do it yourself.
Full synth 5qt jug is ~$22-$28 depending on which oil you want. ~$7 for a Ford filter or $10 for the Fram Ultra that's a little better.
I wouldn't bother using a semi synth oil, no point, full synth is good, and i'd still do 5k oil changes with it, keep that soot level lower in the oil, keep those timing chain links clean.
