There is a procedure for resetting it.
Scan the code to see if it gives any info 1st.

I had this same thing happen with the airbag light. What ended up happening for me was one of the little airbag connectors popped a little loose even though I was sure to make sure it was on nice and solid.

I don’t know what would happen if you over tighten though.

I’ll have to pop the airbag out and check them. I posted in a Facebook group and another guy said the same thing.

Do I dare do it with the battery connected?

I do a lot of things that I shouldn’t with the battery connected but messing with the airbag is NOT one. It is too expensive and painful if a mistake is made.

This is very true. The biggest pain is pulling the airbag again.

Worst case, I have a brand new clockspring that I could use, it’d just stink to have to of bought it twice.

FYI, wheel nut torque for the 12th gen is 35ftlbs, i can't imagine it changed for the 13th gen.
