Sold the wheels, $200. Was kind of a pain, he says he forgot but regardless he was over two hours late. English was not his first language but it all worked out.

I still need to sell the Raptor center caps, will probably put them in the BST here.

It’s been a few months since Discount Tire put in all new TPMS sensors, only for this to happen. Seems to take about 20 miles for the light to go off.

I’ll take it to DT next week, but, is there anything else that might be failing on the truck and causing the sensor not to read?

I’ve searched high and low to get a solid sequence of events on what picks up the signal, how, where it’s transmitted, and everything else…I’ve never found a solid answer.

ive even lowered one tire 10 psi and then rotated it, and it knew I moved it.

anyways, I’d assume it’s just a sensor. If it was another component I’d assume they’d all be blank.

Discount Tire retrained the sensors, the one that was not picking up at times was on the right rear, not left front as indicated by my dash.

Should they be retrained after being rotated or do they self-train in that instance?

I've never had to retrain them after a tire rotation.

I always retrain them after a tire rotation.

I have this GM/Ford tool that makes it easy, but you can do it by letting air out of each tire as you go around the truck in the learning process.
Then just air the tires back up to your desired pressure.

That’s what I meant in my post above.

some say you have to do a sequence for the truck to re-learn. The only time the manual mentions the re-learn is when your truck came from the factory with PSI tolerances different front to back. Otherwise the manual would say “after rotating tire, perform re-learn.”

my 2018 and 2019 didn’t need anything but a 10 mile straight drive to re-learn…tested it twice.

not sure about my 2017

Added that to my Amazon list, thanks!

If you want to share the exact link, there’s a bunch that look the same.
