Then it's quite possible I made a typo when I did the signature. I made the Sig over 2 years ago when I bought the truck. I'll review the window sticker when I get off work.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Which is why I assumed the 9800# tow rating. I have no doubt the F150 can handle the load!

Looking at your wheels, and assuming your sig is correct, the dealership BS'd you into buying a vehicle that was not what you thought you had. Did the dealership pay for the airbags, or did the salesman suggest them?

You would not be the first person to be lied to when attempting to purchase the tow package and the dealer did not have one on the lot.

Wheels have nothing to do with max tow, if he had stated he had the hd payload then they would be the wrong wheels.

Ok guys, you all definitely have me on a rampage trying to figure out what all I have. I have been very confident for the last two years but now you all have me wondering.

I did not buy my truck from Dealer stock. I ordered it several weeks in advance of taking delivery. 9 weeks to be exact, from time of order to it actually arriving at the dealership.
I looked for my window sticker when I got off work, I thought it was in the glove box but I can't find it, My wife has put all kinds of crap in there.....

However I looked in my filing cabinet, in my FX2 Folder and I did find some of the paperwork from the order sheet I completed with the salesman when I ordered the truck. Everything we did in the order process was done on his computer so there never was much actual paperwork. I took a brochure home and marked all the options I wanted and that's how we ordered it.

Salesman checked the Max Tow Package and it has 3.73 Electronic locking Diff check marked.
FX Luxury package is marked with "Delete Leather Seats" typed in. (I didn't want Leather seats)

When it arrived at the dealer it had 20 inch wheels on it, which I did not want so they swapped my wheels for the standard FX2 wheels.

It also did not come with the Tow mirrors which I expected but they said that I would of had to order them separately to get them. I must of missed that option in the brochure

After I pulled my first Travel trailer I did not like the ride and porpoising it did so I took it back at 2500 miles and had them add the Firestone Ride Rite air bags.... They also replaced my OEM shocks with Bilstein Shocks which solved the problem....

I'm probably missing something here but this should clear any confusion... I'll fix my sig later.... Wife wants to go for a walk...

Well if you want to be certain, you can check the axle code on the sticker on the drivers side door jamb.

3.55LS - H9
3.73LS - B6
3.73E - L6

Or you can pull your window sticker up online with your vin #.

And I also thought that only Canada had the option of getting the tow mirrors or not when selecting max tow? Didn't know you had the option to not get them with max tow in the US.

It would make me wonder why if you ordered a truck how you wanted it, that it arrived with things you did not want on it or missing things that you ordered....

I have never ordered a vehicle yet and just pick one off the lot so not sure of the process.

BTW, LOVE LOVE LOVE the new Corvette.......I cant wait to get one.

I wondered the very same thing but the dealer insisted that I did not make a wheel selection and that the Tow mirrors are apparently something I also had to choose.... No selection was made so it got the standard power, heated mirrors with the turn signal.

I've only ordered one other vehicle in the past and the process was all done on paper forms so there was a paper trail.... I didn't like the truck order process with it all on the computer.... I won't order one again... I'll just pick from dealer stock from now on....

As for the Vette..... It is a beast! That's all I can say... This C7 redesign is by far the very best Vette ever. I'm also loving the new 2015 Mustang revealed today..... And one of the engine choices will be an EcoBoost!

Just open your door and look at the GVWR on vin sticker. Normal trailer tow package (aka 9600#) is 7350 GVWR and max tow should be 7650. The HD payload package pushes that up to 8200 GVWR.

Or post apic of your door sticker and the nice folks here can help decipher for you.
