My driver side bracket bent while driving across Alberta in extreme winds, my fault for not installing both bracket it came with. But you can see how it's mounted, i drilled through the bumper where there was a black plastic trim on it. You'll want to remove the licence plate bracket to gain access underneath to the bolt you put through. Bit of a PITA tightening everything up but well worth it, more than enough light. I also have the active shutters and no problems.
