Default New owner old follower

Hello all,

I have been following the forum for about a year. I was a F250 owner in the late 90's and after a few to many years of cars and small SUV's I have finally gotten back into a truck. I just purchased my XLT Ruby Red a week ago. I haven't done anything yet, but I have a few things in the works. Just wanted to say hello and thanks for all of the great posts and information on this Forum.

About the only thing I really wish I has was memory seats. I drive the truck 90+% of the time, but takes a minute to get it all dialed back in after my wife has been driving.
Good to know memory seats are also out on the XLT. I am honestly surprised how many small features ford knocks off on the XLT'a that I thought in 2016 would be standard across the board. I have never considered the XLT trim till recently with the sport package

With the way you can option out an XLT now I am certainly considering that route to give the cloth seats a go. I have been told they are just as comfortable and wear like iron. Just wish power fold mirrors was not something the XLT trim still loses out on.
IMO I find the Lariat seats to be really comfortable, however some of the leather tends to stretch still so its a bit of a concern. Important to note this is also a problem on the higher terms as well. In other words its not so much the leather as it is the foam support under the bum. Now for a little extra expense on our behalf one can go to a good aftermarket upholestry shop and get the foam support added. I may do this with my Lariat someday. It also gives one the option of getting some nice two tone leather inserts. Black interior with a bit of grey or silver might look very good. Overall the extra features added to the Lariat are worth it the interior finishing with leather or leather like dash is great look. Not for everyone though which why we have the choice.
