3 weeks was pretty close to the date. I think it was actually about 2 1/2. I was told they are made to order and the black coating adds a couple of days.
Since it is shipped freight, you have to be there when it is delivered. Comes boxed on a pallet. My box had a hole ripped in it but the cover was undamaged or marred.
The only thing I might would have done differently was to have them cut back on the number of cleats with putting 3 on each side instead of 4 with one going on the stationary section. With the short bed, the cleats seem like they are everywhere. Not a big deal though. On the bright side, I have plenty of tie down locations.
Thanks for sharing! I'm looking to buy a Diamondback SE within the next few weeks or so, and this post is making me wish I could pull the trigger sooner! Where did you order it from? I think I'll be ordering direct from Diamondback. No shops in my area carry them, and the prices for everywhere else online are the same as what Diamondback is selling them for direct, with shipping, so I might as well just order through them.
This place has them for $1,039, $300 for the coating, How much does Diamondback want?
