Sometimes I wish I still had my original. I was extremely stupid and let it go for free
I would've put an original back on mine, had I not came upon the deal I did on that 2010 intake.
I've got an idea for a gotts mod "2.0" that'll go on this intake, i'm just not sure how to go about it quite yet. Either way, i'm happy with it vs aftermarket intakes. Too noisy for my liking. Plus its hard to beat Motorcraft filters that are at like every parts store ready to go for $12-$15. Especially with as dusty as environments my truck is in. (rock quarries for work)
I finally decided on an S&B intake. Installation was very smooth and it’s about as solid as I could have hoped for. It looks very slick and doesn’t give it any excess noise, well, at least compared to the garbage CAI the previous owner installed.

I guess I’m just picky. Even the S&B was too high pitched and noisy for me lol

I hear ya, no pun intended. Like I mentioned, it had a poor CAI on there from the previous owner which was apparently already noisy.
Mine had a K&N on it when I bought the truck. It was way louder than the S&B but the intake off the 2010 is quieter still. It sounds good to me so. To each his own.
